Located in Luzerne County, Lily Lake is a 160-acre impoundment owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and managed by the Fish and Boat Commission for public fishing and boating.
Lily Lake is managed under the Commission's Big Bass program. It is closed to fishing from April 1 until 8 a.m. on opening day of trout. The Commission stocks Lily Lake with trout, it is also part of the Commission's Early Season Trout-Stocked Waters Program.
Other than these programs, statewide regulations for Commonwealth Inland Waters apply for all other species of fish. The Commission also stocks the lake with northern pike fingerling to supplement the warmwater species found in the lake.
Fish habitat structures have been placed in the lake over the years as part of the Commission's Cooperative Fish Habitat Improvement Program.
