Spring is here and that means shallow-water bass fishing is in full swing.  Shallow water bass fishing is the most common setting for anglers across the county. And, springtime is undoubtedly the best time to catch the biggest fish up shallow.

Here are a few tips from the LTB pro-anglers for fishing shallow-water bass in the spring:

? Squarebill and jerkbait are two classic baits to throw all season long.

? Moving fast around shallow areas can be extremely productive.

? Don’t spook the bass. Limit noise, especially boat noise.

? When choosing bait, take the clarity of the water into account. Muddy and murky? Grab darker bait. Clear water? Try something more translucent like a see-through blue.

? Improve casting accuracy by pitch casting.

? Maneuver your boat slowly.
