Product Description
Bass get aggressive when baits get erratic! The Texas Tackle Jacksonville Jerk is the ideal shallow jerkbait to get those big fish to attack what looks like a dying or fleeing baitfish. At 4 inches, it presents a solid profile when they’re looking up in the top of the water column. Small twitches give the Jacksonville Jerk a wild, back-and-forth movement that is exactly what you’re looking for in a top quality jerkbait. Combine that with an expert paint job and the sharpest hooks, you’ll be landing giants when the Jacksonville Jerk hits the water.

Pro Tips
During many times of the year, bass stage up on main points and secondary points that lead into bays or creek arms. They travel up and down from the depths to the shallows to feed, particularly in the warmer months. A shallow diving bait like the Jacksonville Jerk, is ideal to throw on the move while you’re searching for bass as they are coming up for a meal. Once you find them, it can be game on! If you catch a few fish in an area, you can return there multiple times as they will school up on these kind of spots.

Drew’s Notes
“Finding the right cadence is essential with a jerkbait. In the warmer months, fast, erratic action and intermittent pauses is the key, especially in low light times. This gives the appearance of a dying baitfish and will attract those hungry bass looking for an easy meal. After your cast, point your rod tip at the bait and give it small pops downward toward the water in varying cadences. Once you find a good rhythm it will typically work for a while, but if they stop biting, mix it up again.”
