Go where no other bait has gone before, hold on and get ready to land the fish of a lifetime.

Pro Tips
When the weather warms up and the weed mats start to get thick, it’s time to throw a hollow-body frog like the California Classic Delta Frog. Bass are creatures that seek out areas that have a lot of oxygen, especially in the summer when it’s in short supply on the water. They’ll tuck underneath shaded areas such as grass mats, tules, slop, lily pads and overhanging tree branches. If you notice lots of green growth and activity, such as bluegill swimming around, movement under the water, work this area with a frog.

Drew’s Notes
“A lot of times anglers work their frogs in a very similar cadence all the time. A slow, steady, walk-the-dog style back and forth. When it doesn’t draw strikes, they put it down. Just like with other reaction baits, my advice is change up how you retrieve your frog. When the slow, steady retrieve isn’t working, try working it really quickly. Pause the bait and let it sit still for different periods of time. You’ll find that a lot of your frog blowups are on the pause.”
